The Kodiak Historical Society, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization incorporated in September of 1954, operates the Baranov Museum. A nine member Board of Directors governs the Kodiak Historical Society

The Kodiak Historical Society Board of Directors regular meetings are held on the third Friday of the month at Noon at the Baranov Museum. The meetings are open to the public and visitors are welcome to attend.
